Golf benefit Sept. 17 for Mason City boy on Astini News
MASON CITY — A golf benefit for Asher True Eppens, 5, of Mason City, son of Tiffany Shannon and Bryce Eppens, of Mason City, will be held Saturday, Sept. 17.
Asher was diagnosed in October, 2009, with Duchene Muscular Dystrophy and Rasmussen's Encephalitis. Proceeds will go for his medical expenses.
The benefit will be at the Linn Grove Golf Course, Rockwell, with a 9 a.m. shotgun start. The cost is $120 a team or $30 apiece. The first golfers to sign up will get the golf carts. The benefit will also include a silent auction.
Hot dogs and refreshments will be served for donations.
Donations can be made at North Iowa Community Credit Union in Asher Eppen's name.
