Tulane's Dezman Moses realizes NFL dream, committed to sign a contract with Green Bay Packers on Astini News

Former Tulane defensive end Dezman Moses didn't get drafted in this weekend NFL draft. But he will get a shot in the NFL.

After the draft his agent called with the good news that the Green Bay Packers wanted to sign him to an undrafted free agent contract. He will play outside linebacker.

"I think it's a great thing it worked out," Moses said via cellphone from his hometown in New Jersey. "That's one of the places I thought would be best for me to flourish and is also the most ideal position for me. It worked out, so I'm blessed."

As the Green Wave's starting left end the past two seasons, the 6-foot-2, 252-pounder accounted for 114 tackles, 24.5 tackles for loss, 15 sacks, six forced fumbles and two fumbles recovered. He transferred from Iowa and sat out 2009 per the transfer rule. In 2011, he forced seven quarterback hurries and made second-team All-Conference USA.
